Licensing
Can I increase and decrease the number of users?
Yes, you can increase the number of users at anytime by purchasing and assigning additional licenses from ‘User Management’ within the application. You can also un-assign licenses and reassign them to new users as required. You can decrease the number of users at anytime giving 30 days notice providing this is not below the minimum number of users that you have committed to in your agreement.
Can I install the software on multiple machines under one license?
Yes, Invenias is provided on a concurrent user license, so you can install the desktop software on as many machines as you want to for each user, providing that each use is only using one machine at a time. It is normal practice for most business owners to have more than one machine, so Invenias is designed to be used on multiple machines by one user, any changes on one machine will automatically synchronise to the other.

Data, Hosting & Security
Where is my data hosted?
Your data is hosted in a Tier-1 data centre by Rackspace, our hosting partner and Microsoft’s leading hosting partners Worldwide. Rackspace provides a fully managed service with 24x7 Support from Microsoft Certified Engineers.
Is my data secure?
Yes, you are provided with a SQL Server Enterprise database which can only be accessed via a Web Service, which is unique for your company, and locked down using Client Certificate Authentication. The local desktop software communicates with the hosted database over HTTPS which is 256bit encrypted.
Is my data highly available?
Yes, your hosted data services, which include the database and web services, are provided on enterprise class Dell servers that are load balanced for performance and mirrored for high availability. Invenias is a Smart-Client application, so you also have a local cached copy of your data on your PC, which means that any unexpected downtime or connection issues would not affect your productivity as you can continue working as normal.
Is my data backed up?
Yes, as part of a fully managed hosted solution, your database is incrementally backed up daily, with a full backup on a weekly and monthly cycle. The database is also mirrored so you have a real-time backup of your data to ensure full redundancy and availability.
What happens if I want to stop using Invenias, can I get a copy of my data?
Absolutely, the data is your property and we can provide you with a full copy at any time on request. We are able to provide the data as a SQL Server backup. We do not charge for this service as a one off, however additional charges would apply if we provided regular data exports and backups. We can also export your data to CSV or XML, however additional charges would apply.
